Strawberry Charlotte” using strawberries grown in the project’s dry compost food cycle will be available (limited to March 2025, Westin Miyako Hotel).

 The Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto issued a press release titled “Promoting a Project to Realize Food Recycling: March Limited Sale of Special Strawberry Sweets Grown with Compost Derived from Food Waste”.

Sweets using strawberries from Shimizu Farm in Seika Town, grown with compost made from dry compost, are available only during March.

The Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto, in cooperation with the Organic Material Circulation Project, has been working on a series of cycles in which food waste from the hotel is returned to the soil, new crops are grown from that soil, and new products are created from those crops.
