Professor Shuichi Oyama, PL (Project Leader) of Organic Material Circulatiuon Project, wins the 11th World OMOSIROI Award for his work on “With the slogan “Cleaning the Cities, Greening the Land”, this project aims to solve environmental problems by restoring the environment by returning urban waste to degraded land.
The award ceremony was held on February 22, 2025 at Grand Front Osaka in Umeda, Osaka. Oyama PL gave a commemorative speech.
I received a family crest trophy with a greening motif from garbage in the shape of Gosan-no-kiri (five three paulownia trees). (The same as the family crest of Hideyoshi Toyotomi. Coincidentally, Oyama PL’s family crest is also paulownia.)
