The RIHN Open House was held on November 3, and exhibition by various projects and researchers were presented. In the Organics Material Circulation Project, the Chikyuken Compost (dry composting type) was demonstrated, and visitors were able to see the decomposition process in several basins: materials immediately after preparation, after preparation, food scraps, young, mature, and finished compost. Composting can be done even in the balcony of an urban apartments. It is able to decompose food scraps from households without odors or wastewater.
We had a pleasant discussion with guests about composting on this autumn day, including the joys and failures of composting. We are planning to exhibit again next year. We look forward to seeing you next year!
